How do I change my address?
In order to change your mailing address, you must complete a Change of Address Form and return it to the Fund Office.
How do I change my name?
In order to change your name, you must complete a Change of Name Form and submit it to the Fund Office. Please include a copy of one of the following forms of documentation: current driver’s license, current state identification card, current passport, official birth certificate, official marriage certificate, or naturalization documentation.
When will vacation checks be mailed?
The first vacation distribution is in May, and the second distribution is in November.
Can I get my vacation money early if I am not working anymore? Can I withdraw from the Michigan Laborers' Vacation Fund?
No. Vacation funds may be distributed early only in the event of a death benefit or if a member cannot receive benefits on the scheduled distribution date because of military service.
What is LPL?
LPL stands for “Laborers’ Political League.” If you authorize a deduction from your vacation pay to support LPL, $0.05 per hour worked will be deducted from your benefit distribution.
Which work months are paid in each vacation check?
The first vacation check covers work from October through March, as long as the contractor pays the contributions by April 30th. The second vacation check covers work from April through September, as long as the contractor pays the contributions by October 31st.
Can I pickup my check from the Fund Office?
No. You may, however, request that a paper check be mailed to your Local for pick-up or have your check directly deposited into your bank account, if you so choose.
If my hours are turned in late, will I still get my vacation money?
If hours are not paid by October 31st, the money will not be on your November vacation benefit check. If approved by the Board of Trustees, there will be a late distribution in February for any September and October contributions paid after October 31st.
Can spouses or friends call to find out my vacation balance?
No. We will only disclose information on your vacation benefit to you, the member.
Can you tell me the amount of my D&V (Laborers’ Metro) vacation benefit?
No. This benefit is separate and administered by TIC. Please call them at (800) 228-0048 to obtain this information.
Money was deducted from my paycheck, so why didn’t I receive a vacation benefit check?
This may be due to a lack of an address or dues card on file for you. Please contact the Fund Officeto update your information and review the status of your benefit.
How do I set up Direct Deposit for my vacation benefit?
Complete and submit a Direct Deposit Form to the Fund Office no later than October 15th or April 15th to be effective for the upcoming vacation distribution.
How do I confirm my Direct Deposit is setup or has been updated?
To verify your information, please contact the Fund Office and provide the last four digits of the account on file.
I have not received my vacation check in the mail. Can you reissue my vacation check?
Trust policy requires a 10-day waiting period between initial mailing and filing for stop payment and reissuance of a check. If 10 days have passed and you have not received your check, please contact the Fund Office to request a replacement check.
